Welcome to the fascinating world of canvas making. We are carrying a proud family tradition that began in 1834 in New York City. Although the business may have changed through the years, the principles have always remained the same; to produce the highest quality marine canvas products possible. I believe it shows in our work. It shows in our pride. And it shows throughout our family history.

Our facility is also available for large quantity orders such as Gem Car Doors . We manufactured over 3,000 sets with nearly zero defects. We have 3 cutting tables including a specialized hot cutting table which seals the seams as it cuts the fabric. Our facility proudly has a 40 foot long sewing table, one of the Long Island's largest. Lastly, everything must pass strict quality control. We can manufacture items with ISO compliancy.

What's New:

5-19-08 - This set of canvas was the third set we performed on this vessel. Every 9 years like clock-work we re-do this canvas set. This is the third set we made. The boat is maintained very well. These pix were taken during a Nor'easter Storm. Enjoy.

4-30-08 - This past week was actually quite interesting. We had two boats at our dock, both were 25 foot long, both wanted front and side only and both wanted track to connect the enclosure to the boat without snaps. That is the end of the similarities between these two jobs. Have a look and see... This is one is a one-of-a-kind 25' Buddy Davis in perfect condition. This is a great boat but a very challenging enclosure to design and build. Just look at the size of the sections especially the 6'6" long side curtains (on a 25' boat).

4-30-08 - This is the Carolina Classic we had along with the Buddy Davis. These sections are much smaller but everything had to be precisely manufactured to fit properly. There was zero room for error.

4-20-08 - We are proud to announce that Champion Sailmakers has finished the expansion and remodeling project to better serve our customers. Our 40' long by 8' wide sewing table is one of the largest in the industry. We now have 3 cutting stations with one dedicated strictly for clear windows only. And lastly, our new repair center allows us to provide the best workmanship to keep your marine canvas in service for years and years.
