Carver Enclosure
|
The boat above is a beautiful 33' Carver Classic in absolutely mint condition. We replaced all of the canvas while using the old stainless steel frame which was in excellent condition. The first step was to make sure the frame was square and plum and properly adjusted. Next a pattern was made with such considerations as being able to see out the sides without hunching over. In this case, the pattern was used in conjunction with the old top so it could be configured with the least amount of seams possible. The two piece front connector was pretty straight forward but the side and aft curtains had screens with zipper opening windows installed for excellent cross ventilation. Time and care was taken on this boat to ensure every single aspect ended up perfect. Notice if you look closely that the U-shape zippers on the side curtains follow the shape of the frame.
There's plenty of visibility up on the bridge now. And with those screens on the sides and back curtain, there plenty of comfort too.
